Toll Free Traveller
“Their bicycles caused
no little astonishment on the way, and the remarks passed by the natives were
almost amusing. At some of the villages the boys clustered round the machines,
and where they could, caught hold of them and ran behind until they were tired
out. Many enquiries were made as to the name of ‘them queer horses,’ some
called them ‘whirligigs’, ‘menageries’ and ‘valparaisons’. Between Wolver
Hampton and Birmingham, attempts were made to upset the riders by throwing
stones.”
Above is the newspaper report about three riders who set
off from Liverpool to London, a journey of three days and so more resemblant to
modern motor cycle touring on March 1869. The passion for motorcycle touring
around the world started in the late 19th century. More than a
century now, motorcycle riders have grown in large numbers all around the world
and India is no exception.
The passion for touring
and riding bikes among youth in India is at an increasing pace. This passion
for touring has taken different forms with help of technology and internet. To
be very specific YouTube has become an unavoidable app for such travel maniacs.
People, who travel, capture videos of their trip and upload it in their
individual channels on YouTube. The more interesting your content about travel,
the more subscribers to your channel and more money you could make out of your
passion.
So this is a new formula to make money out of your
passion! You may find many vlogs in YouTube about travelling, but I would like
to share about one of the best vlog and the vloger.
Toll Free Traveller/ Rohith is a successful rider based
in Chennai. As he describes himself, he was a corporate lawyer in Mumbai and
now started chasing his long term dream to see and experience the world with
his motorcycle.
With 77.1K subscribers and 106 videos at present he
acquaints us to the world through his camera lens which is dinkum to the real
world. Rohith is mostly seen with a medium stubble beard, a riding jacket along
with a black sun glass in his vlogs. His good vocal clarity with the channel’s
tagline travel, wander, explore which pops up on the vlog prepares us to a very
calm and adventurous travelling experience. The vlog is hardly ten to fifteen
minutes, but Rohith guarantees the viewers and lays down every possible feat he
experiences in a ride.
He doles out information about the place of ride, the
adventurous route which he has chosen, goods to carry while on touring,
mechanisms of his bike and so on.
Watching his videos one could perceive being a pillion
rider on his bike. He orates in a manner as a typical boy next door who accustoms
about the journey. We could probably attach ourselves with him by watching few
videos of his.
Each ride is adventurous not only for him, but also for
the viewers. He also takes us to many rider manias, introduces his fellow
riders and his travel companions.
When
I started watching his vlogs I was so much enticed to his Royal Enfield
Thunderbird. The way he mounts his luggage at the back of his bike and the view
that comes out from his Go pro is just blissful. The channel also has separate
playlist that educates the viewers about riding gears, bike tools and
accessories.
An important thing that most viewers consider is the
length of the vlogs. Toll free traveller’s vlog match the viewer’s expectation.
You will not regret the time spent on the channel.
Early this year Rohith started using a drone in his
vlogs, which has made the view beyond imagination. One of my favorite playlist
of his is India to Nepal - #tour of 2 kingdoms.
"Toll Free traveler" substantiates the youth that we could
make our passion as profession. There is no doubt that Toll free traveler is an
inspiration to the young riders in India.
“He
is simply a rider’s delight!”

Kudos zakir...keep going we will shine for sure.... 'Miracles to happen man!.
TFT Rohith ! The sole reason why I got into biking and travelling. His way of narration, his sense of cinematography, and the way of presentation can convince anyone to get into travelling.
